Method

1.Preheat oven to 150°C/300°F. Line an oven tray with baking paper.
2.Secure one cake to 30cm (12-inch) round cake board with a little frosting. Spread cake top with cup of chocolate frosting; top with remaining cake. Using a small serrated knife, trim cake into a volcano shape. Secure donut to the top of the cake with a little frosting. Spread remaining chocolate frosting over top and sides of cake.
3.Place boiled lollies into sandwich bag and gently smash with a rolling pin or meat mallet until broken into small pieces. Place pieces onto the oven tray; place in oven for 10 minutes or until lollies have melted. Use the back of a metal spoon to thin out edges. Cool toffee on tray.
4.Discard chocolate coating from honeycomb, if necessary. Roughly chop honeycomb.
5.Tint coconut yellow. Using picture as a guide, position coconut, honeycomb and nerds around the base and sides of the volcano. Tint the vanilla frosting orange in a small microwave safe bowl. Heat frosting in a microwave oven on MEDIUM (50%) for 20 seconds or until melted.
6.Pour orange frosting around the top and down the sides of the volcano. Break cooled toffee into pieces; position in the top of the volcano as fire.

EQUIPMENT: 30cm (12-inch) round cake board. The toffee is best made on the day of serving. You could use red and yellow lollipops to make the toffee following step 3. You need to buy a packet of rainbow nerds, as these contain orange nerds.
