Method

1.Preheat oven to 160°C (140°C fan forced). Grease cake pan, line with baking paper, extending paper 5cm (2 inches) above sides
2.Make cake according to directions on packet. Spread mixture into pan, bake about 50 minutes. Stand cake in pan 10 minutes, turn, top-side up, onto wire rack to cool
3.Meanwhile, to make butter cream, beat butter in small bowl with electric mixer until as white as possible. Beat in sifted icing sugar and milk, in two batches
4.Level top of cake, position cake, cut-side down, on cake board, secure cake with a little butter cream.
5.Tint three-quarters of the butter cream pale green, tint remaining butter cream dark green. Spread pale green butter cream all over cake
6.Spoon dark green butter cream into piping bag, pipe chain around sides of cake. Using picture as a guide, make daisies from Mallow Bakes, use mini M&M’s for centres of daisies. Position candles on cake

deep 20cm (8-inch) square cake pan 25cm (10-inch) square prepared cake board small piping bag fitted with small plain tube You might need to buy two 100g (3-ounce) packets Mallow Bakes. Use sharp scissors to cut Mallow Bakes in half. This cake can be made a day ahead
