What to serve with brioche bread French toast
We have served this French toast as a sweet dish, with icing sugar, maple syrup and fresh berries. However, you could also serve as a savoury breakfast, with crispy bacon, roasted tomatoes and sauteed mushrooms. You can omit the cinnamon if serving this way, if you like.
What is brioche?
Brioche is different from a standard white bread loaf as it is enriched with egg. This light and fluffy French-style bread is wonderfully sweet and buttery, and often associated with dessert dishes like French toast or bread and butter pudding.
