Roasted hazelnut brownies

These deliciously moist and sweet roasted hazelnut brownies are so rich you'll need just a half-slice with your morning tea to be completely satisfied. Save the other half for afternoon tea!

Ingredients

Method

1.Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced.Grease deep 19cm-square cake pan; line base and two opposite sides with baking paper, extending paper 5cm above sides.
2.Melt butter and chocolate in medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in sugar; cook, stirring, 5 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.
3.Stir in egg and sifted flour then nuts and Choc Bits. Spread mixture into pan.
4.Bake brownies about 30 minutes. Cool in pan before cutting into squares. Serve dusted with icing sugar, if you like.
