Fruit and nut loaf

Of all the fruit and nut loaf recipes, this one by Woman's Day has to be in the top 5. Gluten-free, stuffed with your favourite dried fruits and richly sweetened with brown sugar, it's irresistible.

1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease and line a 10 x 20cm loaf pan.
2.In a large bowl, combine sugar, yoghurt, buttermilk, eggs and oil.
3.Sift flour with baking powder and bicarbonate of soda onto a plate or sheet of baking paper. Fold into yoghurt mixture with hazelnut meal, fruit and honey.
4.Spoon into prepared pan, smoothing top. Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden and cooked when tested. Cool in pan for five minutes before diming onto a wire rack to cool completely. Serve sliced and spread with butter.
