Apricot choc-aroon slice

These tasty macaroon-like bars are great for the lunchbox.

1.Preheat oven to 150°C/300°F. Grease 20cm x 30cm (8-inch x 12-inch) rectangular pan; line base and long sides with baking paper, extending paper 5cm (2 inches) over sides.
2.Beat egg whites in small bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form; gradually add sugar, beating until sugar dissolves. Fold in sifted flour, coconut, apricot and grated chocolate.
3.Spread mixture into pan; bake 15 minutes. Sprinkle slice with nuts, press down gently; bake about 30 minutes or until browned lightly. Cool slice in pan.
4.Drizzle slice with melted chocolate; stand at room temperature until set before cutting.

Store slice in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
