Research shows that drinking pear juice prior to drinking alcohol reduces the effects of a hangover. Try this refreshing juice recipe from The Australian Women’s Weekly’s ‘Super Foods and Power Juices’ cookbook next time you go out.
1.Push pears alternately with celery, lemon and basil through a juice extractor into a jug. Stir to combine. Serve immediately.
It’s best to drink this immediately, as the pear will discolour quickly. Remember to stay hydrated with water throughout the night and drink responsibly. No amount of pear juice will remedy over-indulging.
