Want to start your day on a healthy note but short on time? You can’t look past a beautiful homemade smoothie. They’re super creamy, fruity and naturally sweet, but are actually packed full of nutrients for that healthy start. Whether you prefer a fresh vegie-based green smoothie or something with a little banana, simply grab your blender and toss in whatever your heart desires. To make your decision a little easier, here’s a selection of our favourite smoothie recipes that are both healthy and delicious.

How to add greens to a smoothie

Ambassador for high speed blender brand Vitamix, Magdalena Roze, has shared these tips for increasing the fibre and nutrients in your morning smoothie.

  • The trick I always share is to add greens. You get all the nutrients and fibre, and genuinely cannot taste spinach next to a banana and a bit of mango.
  • Freeze fruit that is about to turn. It saves it from the bin, and means you never need ice, and you get a much thicker, nutrient-dense smoothie. So much of eating well is just making the good option the easy one.
