Ingredients

Butter cream (1 quantity)

Method

1.Grease deep 30cm square cake pan, line base with baking paper. Using four packets, prepare cake mix according to directions, pour into prepared pan. Bake in moderate oven about 1¾ hours. Stand cake in pan 5 minutes, turn onto wire rack to cool.
2.Place cake on board. Using image as a guide, cut out a star shape, or cut a free-form star to your liking.
3.Divide butter cream into three portions, tint one portion with buttercup yellow, one portion with orange colouring, and one portion with lemon yellow colouring.
4.Combine the three butter creams in a medium bowl and swirl gently to create a marble effect.
5.Spread top and sides of cake with marbled butter cream. Sprinkle star with sugar crystals.
6.Pipe melted dark chocolate outline for mouth onto baking paper, pipe pairs of straight lines with leftover chocolate, leave to set. Pipe melted white chocolate between the dark chocolate outlines for teeth, leave to set.
7.Outline cake with brown decorating gel. Decorate cake with mouth, sunglasses and straight lines.
