1.Place pear quarters in a large saucepan, add 2 tblsp water and simmer covered for 10 minutes or until pears are just tender, drain.
2.Arrange pears over base of a 23cm pie dish. Sift cinnamon and flour into a bowl, stir in muesli then rub butter with fingertips and stir in maple syrup. Sprinkle mixture evenly over pears.
3.Bake in a 180C preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until topping is golden.
Pears can be cooked a day ahead. Keep covered in the refrigerator. Crumble and sauce are best prepared as required.Note
