1.Arrange slices of hot cross buns over base of a large shallow dish. Whisk eggs and milk together. Pour egg mixture over bun slices in dish, stand 5 minutes, then turn slices over and stand a further 5 minutes.
2.Heat approximately 20g of the butter in a large frying pan, add a single layer of bun slices to the hot butter and fry until golden underneath. Turn slices and cook until other side is golden.
3.Remove toasted slices from pan, drain on paper towel and keep warm. Repeat process with remaining butter and bun slices. Serve hot with fresh berries and maple syrup.
