It’s not just frozen foods that are transformed in the air fryer. With little effort, create these sweet and sticky hoisin pork steaks with easy microwave rice and crisp cucumber salad.
The pork steaks are marinated for at least two hours or overnight for maximum flavour.

Method
Combine sauces, cooking wine, honey, sugar, garlic and five spice in a large shallow dish; add pork and turn to coat in marinade. Cover dish. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Line the bottom of a 7-litre air fryer pan with foil. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C for 3 minutes.
Taking care, place pork in the air fryer basket, reserving the marinade; at 180°C, cook for 15 minutes, turning and basting pork with reserved marinade halfway through cooking time.
Reset the temperature to 200°C; cook pork for a further 5 minutes, basting with reserved marinade, or until charred and cooked through. Transfer to a dish; cover with foil and rest for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook rice following packet directions. Transfer to a medium heatproof bowl; stir in peanuts and half the green onion.
Slice pork and serve with rice and cucumber, topped with remaining green onion; drizzle with any cooking juices from the bottom of the air fryer pan and extra hoisin sauce.
