- 5 x 340g packets butter cake mix
- 375 gram butter
- 4 1/2 cup (720g) icing sugar
- 6 tablespoon milk
- yellow food colouring
- 12 red allen's snakes alive
- 2 red allen's jelly beans
- 2 orange allen's jelly beans
- 6 green allen's jelly beans
- 2 yellow allen's jelly beans
- 10 pink allen's jelly beans
- 5 purple allen's jelly beans
- 4 white allen's jelly beans
- 4 green apple allen's sour rush jelly beans
- 10 green allen's marella jubes
- 5 orange allen's marella jubes
- 3 white allen's marella jubes
- 4 aallen's ripe raspberries
- 2 tablespoon grape wonka nerds
- 1Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease 15cm x 34cm number one cake pan and 23cm x 34cm number zero cake pan; line bases with baking paper.
- 2Make cakes according to directions on packets. Pour mixture evenly into pans. Bake the number 1 cake about 45 minutes; bake number 0 cake about 50 minutes. Stand cakes in pan 10 minutes before turning, top-side up, onto wire racks to cool.
- 3To make butter cream, beat butter until white as possible, gradually beat in half the sifted icing sugar then milk, then remaining icing sugar. Beat until smooth.
- 4Using a serrated knife, level cake tops so cakes are the same height. Secure cakes to 90cm-square covered cake board with a little butter cream. Tint butter cream yellow; spread all over top and sides of cakes.
- 5Using scissors, cut heads from Snakes Alive; tie tails into knots. Cut the red and orange Jelly Beans into quarters. Cut the remaining Jelly Beans and Jubes in half lengthways. Using the picture as a guide, arrange Snakes Alive, Jelly Beans, Jubes, Ripe Raspberries and Wonka Nerds on cakes.
Use a pair of clean tweezers to position the tiny Wonka Nerds and other small lollies.
