1.Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F. Grease four 1-cup (250ml) ovenproof dishes.
2.Combine apple, blackberries and sugar in a medium bowl; spoon mixture into dishes.
3.Combine oats, syrup, nuts and cinnamon in a small bowl; sprinkle crumble mixture over fruit mixture. Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes or until heated through and browned lightly.
You can swap the apple and blackberries for canned pears and frozen raspberries. The crumble is best baked just before serving. Oats are high in fibre and have a low glycaemic index (good for those with diabetes). Use traditional oats rather than quick-cooking oats
