1.Preheat oven to 170°C/340°F.
2.Cut bread on the diagonal into four thick slices; split slices. Brush bread with half the oil. Place on oven tray. Toast in oven about 20 minutes, turning bread halfway, or until crisp. Rub toasts with garlic.
3.Season tomato; spoon onto toasts. Stand 20 minutes.
4.Top tomato with cheese; drizzle with remaining oil. Sprinkle with oregano.
