Veal pizziola

Try this veal topped with tasty cheese and mushrooms as a change from the usual lamb, beef or chicken. You won't be disappointed.

Method

1.Sauté mushrooms in a heated, greased saucepan until just tender. Add tomatoes, white wine and olives; bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes until mixture has thickened.
2.Meanwhile, pan-fry veal steaks in a large heated, greased frypan until browned on both sides and tender. Pour hot tomato sauce over veal steaks and sprinkle with grated cheese. Place the pan (but not the handle) under a preheated grill for a few minutes until cheese is bubbling and lightly browned.
