Orange cake

Indulge your taste buds with this deliciously moist orange cake. Full of delicious flavour and drizzled in a sticky sweet orange syrup - it doesn't get much better than that!

Method

1.Grease deep 20cm round cake pan.
2.Combine all ingredients in medium bowl, beat with electric mixer at low speed until just combined. Increase speed to medium, beat about 3 minutes or until mixture is smooth. Spread mixture into prepared pan; bake in moderate oven about 40 minutes. Stand cake 5 minutes before turning onto wire rack to cool.
3.Make orange icing: sift icing sugar into small heatproof bowl, stir in butter and enough juice to form a stiff paste. Stir icing over hot water until spreadable.
4.Spread cold cake with orange icing.

Recipe can be made 2 days ahead. Store in an air-tight container. This recipe is not suitable to be frozen or microwaved.
