Cheat’s black forest cake

With decadent chocolate, fresh cherries and a rich vanilla cream, this recipe has everything you love in a black forest cake but takes less than a quarter of the time to prepare!

1.Trim icing from cakes and discard. Brush cut side of cakes with liqueur.
2.In a bowl using an electric mixer, beat cream and paste until soft peaks. Pile half the cream on top of one cake. Top with remaining cake.
3.In a small bowl, combine nutella and milk until smooth (add a little more milk if mixture is still thick).
4.Top cake with remaining cream, cherries and drizzle with nutella sauce. Serve with chocolate shards.

If liked, serve with drizzled with custard or scoops of chocolate ice-cream.
