1.Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease 23cm-square slab cake pan.
2.Beat eggs, egg yolks and sugar in medium bowl with electric mixer until combined; beat in cooled chocolate. Beat in milk and cream on low speed. Stir in ground almonds, then sifted flour and cocoa. Pour mixture into pan; sprinkle with cherries and grated chocolate.
3.Bake slice about 25 minutes. Stand slice in pan 15 minutes; turn, top-side up, onto wire rack to cool.
