1.Cut red onions in half; cut each half into six wedges. Thread onion wedges and beef onto 12 skewers.
2.Combine sauce, paste, garlic and sugar in small bowl; brush sauce mixture over skewers. Cover; refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
3.Cook beef skewers on heated oiled grill or grill pan until browned all over and cooked as desired.
4.Serve beef kebabs sprinkled with scallions.
You need 12 skewers; if using bamboo skewers, soak them in water 1 hour before use to prevent splintering or scorching.Note
