This air fryer mug cake is an easy dessert to make, and quick to cook. Make it in an ovenproof mug or ramekin.
Ingredients
Method
Preheat a 7-litre air fryer to 160°C for 3 minutes.
Grease four 1-cup (250ml) ovenproof mugs (see tips below) with cooking spray.
Place butter and golden syrup in a small saucepan; stir over low heat until smooth. Cool for 5 minutes.
Sift flours, bicarb and cocoa into a large bowl; stir in sugar. Fold milk and egg into flour mixture until just combined. Fold golden syrup mixture into batter until well combined. Spoon mixture into mugs. Push a Lindt ball into batter in each mug.
Taking care, place the mugs in the air fryer basket; at 160°C, cook for 15 minutes or until cakes are springy when touched.
Serve mug cakes topped with whipped cream or ice-cream, dusted with a little extra cocoa powder.
How do I stop the Lindt balls from melting in this air fryer mug cake recipe?
To help the Lindt balls keep their shape and not melt completely, place them in the freezer for 1 hour or until frozen.
Do I have to use a mug?
Use ramekins instead of mugs, if preferred.
