Ingredients

Marsala-poached figs
  • 1 cup (250ml) water
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) marsala
  • 1/2 cup (110g) caster sugar
  • 18 dried figs

Method

Marsala-poached figs

    In a medium saucepan, combine the water, marsala and sugar; stir over low heat for about 3-5 minutes, or until sugar dissolves.

    Bring to the boil; add figs. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, without stirring, for about 30 minutes or until figs soften. Serve warm.
