Crisp beef with gai lan

Loaded with greens and cabbage, this easy beef stir-fry makes a speedy week-night meal served with steamed rice.

1.Combine cornflour and soda in large bowl. Add beef; toss to coat all over in flour, shake off excess.
2.Heat a third of the peanut oil in wok; stir-fry about a third of the beef until crisp. Drain on absorbent paper; cover to keep warm. Repeat with remaining peanut oil and beef.
3.Combine sauces and garlic in small bowl.
4.Heat sesame oil in same cleaned wok; stir-fry onion until just tender. Add cabbage and gai lan to wok; stir-fry 1 minute. Add sauce mixture and beef to wok; stir-fry until heated through.
