Two-tone fudge brownies

These gooey, delicious two-tone brownies make an excellent gift! Jazz them up with a little cellophane and ribbon.

1.Preheat oven to moderate. Grease 23cm-square slab cake pan; line base and two opposite sides with baking paper.
2.Melt butter and chocolate in medium saucepan; stir over low heat, without boiling, until mixture is smooth. Cool until just warm.
3.Stir in sugar, egg, and combined sifted flours and cocoa, until just combined. Set aside.
4.Make white chocolate layer; melt butter and chocolate in medium saucepan; stir over low heat, without boiling, until mixture is smooth. Cool until just warm. Stir in sugar, egg and sifted flours until just combined.
5.Spread dark chocolate mixture into prepared pan. Spread white chocolate layer over dark chocolate mixture.
6.Bake in moderate oven about 1 hour 20 minutes; if over-browning, cover with foil. Cool in pan. Cut into 25 pieces.
