1.Grease a 23cm square slab pan, line base with paper and grease the paper.
2.Melt chocolate over hot water and stir in honey. Cool to room temperature.
3.Cream butter, essence and sugar in small bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, beat until combined.
4.Transfer mixture to large bowl, stir in half the sifted flours and half the chocolate mixture then remaining flours and chocolate mixture. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in moderate oven for about 1 hour. Stand 5 minutes before turning on to wire rack to cool. Spread cold cake with frosting.
5.To make honey frosting, cream butter and cream cheese in small bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy, then stir in honey and chocolate.
