Ingredients
Orange butterscotch sauce
- 1/2 cup (125ml) thickened cream
- 1/2 cup (110g) firmly packed brown sugar
- 60 gram cold butter, chopped
- 1 teaspoon orange rind, finely grated
Method
Orange butterscotch sauce
- 1Stir ingredients in small saucepan over low heat, without boiling, until sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil then reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, 3 minutes.
Notes
For a lavish touch, add ¼ cup raisins and 1 tablespoon rum or brandy. Serve over ice- cream or baked apples.
