1.Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Using 6cm (2½-inch) butterfly cutter, cut out 3 butterflies from each slice.
2.Cut each musk stick into 2cm (¾-inch) lengths; place one piece of musk stick down the centre of each butterfly.
3.Sprinkle hundreds and thousands into small shallow dish; gently press each butterfly, buttered-side down, onto hundreds and thousands. Arrange on serving plate.
Butterfly fairy bread can be made up to 3 hours ahead of serving; keep covered.
