Butterfly fairy bread

Only four ingredients required - fluffy bread, butter, sprinkles and musk sticks - for these adorable bite-sized treats. Perfect for any kids party.

  • 60 gram (2 ounces) soft butter
  • 12 large slices white bread (600g)
  • 6 musk sticks, halved lengthways
  • 1/2 cup hundreds and thousands

    Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Using 6cm (2½-inch) butterfly cutter, cut out 3 butterflies from each slice.

    Cut each musk stick into 2cm (¾-inch) lengths; place one piece of musk stick down the centre of each butterfly.

    Sprinkle hundreds and thousands into small shallow dish; gently press each butterfly, buttered-side down, onto hundreds and thousands. Arrange on serving plate.


Butterfly fairy bread can be made up to 3 hours ahead of serving; keep covered.
