Method

1.Melt butter on a heated barbecue flat plate. Cook onion, over low heat, tossing occasionally, about 20 minutes.
2.Add sugar. Cook, tossing gently, about 5 minutes or until onion has caramelised. Add wine and vinegar; cook until liquid evaporates.
