Ingredients
Method
Let’s get this creamy party started! In a bowl, whisk together the cream, milk and soup mix until it’s all smooth and looking irresistible. This is where the magic begins!
Now for the fun part—layering up the goodness. Start by placing one-third of your sliced potatoes in the bottom of your 5.5L (22-cup) slow cooker. Think of it as the first layer of a flavour tower!
On top of those potatoes, sprinkle half each of the diced ham, green onion, capsicum, mushrooms and a generous ½ cup of cheese.
Time to double up! Repeat the layering with another third of the potato and the rest of the ham, green onion, capsicum, mushrooms and another ½ cup of cheese. Now it’s getting cheesy and exciting!
Top it all off with the last third of your potatoes. Pour that creamy mix you whisked up earlier all over the top, making sure everything is coated and ready to mingle. Then, sprinkle the remaining cheese like a final blanket of comfort.
Cover the top with a sheet of baking paper, extending it beyond the rim of the slow cooker. Pop the lid on your slow cooker, set it to LOW, and let it work its magic for 6 hours. The aroma that’ll fill your kitchen? Pure, creamy bliss!
Once it’s done, give it a 15-minute rest before serving. This little break lets the flavours settle and makes the potato bake even more delicious—if that’s even possible!
