1.Heat oil in small saucepan, add garlic and onion; cook, stirring, until browned lightly. Add tomato, vinegar and sugar; simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes or until mixture is reduced by half. Just before serving, stir through basil.
2.Meanwhile, cook sausages on heated oiled barbecue until browned and cooked through.
3.Serve sausages with warm tomato relish. Sprinkle with extra basil leaves, if desired.
