3.Add rice, the extra water, spices, salt, pepper and half of the onions; cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes or until mixture boils. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes or until rice is tender. Serve warm or cold, topped with remaining onions.
