Fig galettes

These divine fig galettes make a beautiful dessert with a mug of hot coffee. The combination of buttery pastry and juicy fruit is a match made in heaven.

Ingredients

Method

1.Preheat oven to 180°C. Line oven tray with baking paper.
2.Cut four 12cm rounds from puff pastry; sprinkle with almonds. Thinly slice figs, place on top of rounds; brush with combined butter and maple syrup. Turn edges of pastry up.
3.Bake galettes about 20 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden. Serve warm, dusted with icing sugar.
