Ingredients
Method
Preheat a 7-litre air fryer to 180°C/350°F for 3 minutes. Grease two 12-hole mini muffin pans (1 tablespoon/20ml).
Place donut mix in a medium bowl. Whisk oil, egg and milk in a jug until combined. Gently stir milk mixture into donut mix until just combined (do not over-mix). Divide donut mixture among pan holes.
Taking care, lower one muffin pan into the air fryer basket; at 180°C/350°F, cook for 8 minutes until donuts are golden and a skewer inserted into the centre of one comes out clean. Remove pan from the air fryer. Leave donuts in pan for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool slightly. Repeat cooking with remaining muffin pan of donut mixture.
Meanwhile, place cinnamon sugar mix from the packet of donut bites mix in a medium bowl. Add orange rind and nutmeg; mix well.
Lightly brush warm donut bites with melted butter, then toss in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
Serve donut bites warm.
Donut bites flavour variation
For spiced Nutella donut bites, spoon half the donut mixture into pan holes, top each with ½ teaspoon Nutella, then spoon remaining donut mixture over Nutella. Continue with recipe from step 3.
