Ingredients
Apple berry crumble slice
- 3 cup plain flour
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 250 gram butter, chopped
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Filling
- 400 gram can apple pie filling
- 300 gram packet mixed frozen berries
- 2 tablespoon caster sugar
- finely grated zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoon cornflour
Method
Apple berry crumble slice
- 1Preheat oven to 180°C. Lightly grease and line a deep 20cm x 30cm slice pan with baking paper.
- 2In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, butter and baking powder. Process until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add egg and vanilla. Pulse until a crumbly dough forms.
- 3Press half dough evenly over base of pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool slightly.
- 4Meanwhile, to make the filling; in a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well. Spread evenly over base.
- 5Crumble remaining dough evenly over fruit mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown. Cool completely in pan. Cut into rectangles.

Keep in a sealed airtight container in fridge or freeze for up to one month.
