Method

1.Place chickpeas in large bowl and cover with water. Stand overnight, drain. Rinse under cold water and drain again.
2.Heat oil in large saucepan. Stir onion and garlic over heat until onion softens. Add chickpeas, water, bay leaves and rosemary; bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer with lid on for about 2 hours or until chickpeas are tender.
3.Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes. Discard bay leaves and rosemary.
4.Using hand-held blender, process soup in pan until smooth. Add cream. Stir over medium heat until hot.
