Spiced fig and apple jam

There's something very satisfying about making your own jam, and this delectable spiced fig and apple jam will definitely satisfy your taste buds!

1.Combine apple and the water in large saucepan; bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, about 20 minutes or until apple is soft. Add figs and juice; simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
2.Measure fruit mixture; allow ¾ cup (165g) sugar for each cup of mixture. Return mixture and sugar to pan with remaining ingredients; stir over heat, without boiling, until sugar dissolves. Boil, uncovered, about 45 minutes or until jam gels when tested.
3.Pour into hot sterilised jars; seal immediately.

Finely grate the rind from the oranges before juicing them.
