1.Combine the hot water and oats in a medium saucepan over medium heat; cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until porridge is thick and creamy. Stir in milk.
2.Meanwhile, place pear and the water in a small saucepan; bring to the boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until soft.
3.Serve porridge topped with pear and 1 tablespoon of the poaching liquid; sprinkle with berries.
