Ingredients
Method
To make icing, place egg whites in a medium bowl; stir in sifted icing sugar in three batches, then stir in enough lemon juice to make icing spreadable. Cover surface with plastic wrap and set aside.
PURPLE PEOPLE EATER: Using scissors, trim the sides of 4 lolly teeth, then cut gaps in the teeth, trimming to different lengths to make them crooked. Tint one-fifth of the icing with a few drops of purple food colouring; mix well. Using a teaspoon, spread icing over 4 biscuits. Place a marshmallow half on the top half of the biscuit. Dot a mini M&M with icing, then place in middle of marshmallow. Place teeth below eye. Repeat with remaining iced biscuits and lollies.
MONSTER MASH: Using scissors, trim the sides of 4 lolly teeth, then cut teeth into pointed fangs. Cut a small piece of licorice strap into 2 triangle-shaped eyebrows. Tint a quarter of the remaining icing with a few drops of green food colouring; mix well. Using a teaspoon, spread icing over 4 biscuits. Place 2 mint chocolate balls on the top half of the biscuit; dot 2 candy eyeballs with icing, then place in the middle of chocolate balls. Place licorice eyebrows above eyes on an angle. Place teeth below the eyes. Repeat with remaining iced biscuits and lollies.
MIDNIGHT BLACK CAT: Cut a piece of liquorice strap into 4 x 8cm long thin strips to make tails. Cut a small piece of liquorice into 8 small triangles to make ears. Cut the pink part of 1 lolly teeth into 4 small triangles to make noses. Tint a third of the remaining icing with a few drops of black food colouring; mix well. Using a teaspoon, spread icing over 4 biscuits. Place 2 liquorice triangle ears at top of biscuit, pointing upwards. Place 2 lolly eyes under the ears, then place a pink triangle, pointing downwards, below the eyes. Place one end of a liquorice tail at the base of the biscuit. Repeat with remaining iced biscuits and lollies.
SPOOKY PUMPKIN: Cut a piece of liquorice strap into 8 small triangles to make eyes and snip 4 little pieces to make noses. Cut 4 x 3cm pieces of liquorice into 5mm strips, then cut triangles into the strips to make teeth. Cut Peelies in half lengthways. Tint half the remaining icing with a few drops of orange food colouring; mix well. Using a teaspoon, spread icing over 4 biscuits. Place biscuits sideways. Place a Peelie half in the middle at the top of the biscuit, pointing upwards. Place 2 liquorice triangles below the Peelie, pointing upwards, for the eyes, then place a little nose piece below the eyes. Place a liquorice mouth below the nose with the triangles pointing downwards. Repeat with remaining iced biscuits and lollies.
MUMMY: Place white chocolate melts in a zip-lock bag, expel air and seal. Place bag in a small jug of hot water and stand for 5 minutes, massaging the bag occasionally to help with melting the chocolate. Place 4 biscuits on baking paper. Using scissors, snip the corner of the bag. Dot the back of 8 candy eyeballs with a little melted chocolate, then place 2 at the top of each biscuit. Pipe the melted chocolate back and forth across biscuits to make bandages.
BLOOD SPATTER: Mix red gel food colouring with ½ teaspoon water in a tiny bowl. Spread the remaining icing over 4 biscuits and place on baking paper. Dip a pastry brush into the red food colouring and tap over each biscuit to make splatters.
