Red miso sauce
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup white miso
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon red miso
Method
Red miso sauce
- 1Stir water, white miso, mirin, caster sugar, soy sauce and red miso in small saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves; cool 5 minutes.
Notes
Add some crushed dried chilli for extra flavour. This sauce is typically served as an accompaniment to tofu and vegetables.
