1.Boil, steam or microwave beans and peas separately until just tender; drain. Rinse under cold water; drain.
2.Cook sardines, skin-side down, on a heated, oiled grill plate (or grill or barbecue) for about 5 minutes, or until skin is crisp.
3.Meanwhile, in a medium frying pan heat oils over medium heat; cook garlic for about 1 minute or until fragrant. Add beans and peas; cook, stirring, until tender.
4.Divide bean and pea mixture among serving plates; top with sardines, drizzle over sauce.
If using a grill (broiler), place sardines skin-side up on oiled oven tray.Note
