Oysters three ways
Three tasty ways to enjoy oysters.

Ingredients
Bloody mary oyster shots
- 1 cup (250ml) tomato juice
- ⅓ cup (80ml) vodka
- 1 stick celery (150g), cut into 8 lengths
- 1 teaspoon tabasco sauce
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 8 oysters on half shell
- 1 fresh small red chilli, sliced thinly
Cucumber, ginger & sesame oysters
- 2 tablespoons japanese soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 1 teaspoon white (granulated) sugar
- 8 oysters on half shell
- 2 teaspoons pickled ginger, cut into long thin strips
- 1 mini cucumber (quke) (60g), cut into long thin strips
- 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds
Passionfruit & lime oysters
- 1 tablespoon passionfruit pulp (You will need 1 passionfruit)
- 1 kaffir lime leaf, shredded finely
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 8 oysters on half shell
- micro coriander leaves
Method
Bloody mary oyster shots
- 1Place 1½ tablespoons (30ml) tomato juice and 2 teaspoons vodka in each of eight shot glasses.
- 2Place a baton of celery into each glass; season with a dash of both sauces then a little pinch of salt and pepper.
- 3Top oysters with sliced chilli; serve with shots.
Cucumber, ginger and sesame oysters
- 4Stir soy sauce, oil, mirin and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves. Cool.
- 5Top oysters with soy mixture then ginger, cucumber and sprinkle with seeds.
Passionfruit and lime oysters
- 6Combine passionfruit pulp, lime leaf and juice in a small bowl.
- 7Top oysters with passionfruit mixture then coriander.
