Method

1.Bring 1.25 litres (5 cups) of the water to the boil in a medium saucepan; stir in rind, coffee, sugars, cinnamon and cloves. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add remaining water; stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
2.Strain mixture into a large heatproof jug; pour into coffee cups to serve.
