Maple-glazed baby carrots

Gorgeously sweet orange and maple glazed baby carrots. The perfect accompaniment for your next dinner party.

Maple-glazed baby carrots
  • 30 gram butter
  • 750 gram baby carrots
  • 2 teaspoon finely grated orange rind
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoon dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped roasted hazelnuts

    Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook carrots until almost tender.

    Add orange rind, juice, wine and maple syrup to pan; bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until liquid has almost evaporated and carrots are tender and caramelised.

    Serve carrots sprinkled with hazelnuts.
