Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan's welcome you to their Luxury Escapes tour of India

Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston are taking lucky travellers on a once-in-a-lifetime tour of India. The nine day tour is the second instalment in Luxury Escapes’ celebrity-hosted ‘Signature Series’. The first was a food tour of Vietnam, which sold out in less than 24 hours.

India is a popular destination for food and travel lovers. Mehigan and Preston’s tour of India’s Golden Triangle will include street food favourites as well as some of the country’s top restaurants. Participants will travel to Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, and stay in some of India’s top hotels, like the iconic Oberoi Amarvilas Agra with breathtaking views of the Taj Mahal. Return international flights with Singapore Airlines are also included, with limited business class upgrades available.

“As a food and travel fanatic, the process of designing these tours with Luxury Escapes has been a dream come true,” says Mehigan.

“India poses endless opportunities when it comes to food and culture so Matt and I can’t wait to dive in and see what we discover.”

Preston and Mehigan were MasterChef judges for 11 years of the hit show, from the inaugural season crowning Julie Goodwin the winner in 2009 to their departure in 2019. Since then, Mehigan, a chef, has pursued his love for combining food with travel, hosting National Geographic’s India’s Mega Festivals series. Meanwhile, food writer Preston shares his perspectives through newspaper columns and hosting ABC radio Saturday Mornings in Victoria. He released his memoir, Big Mouth, in November 2023.

The Luxury Escapes tour is priced at $12,999 per person (twin share). Tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 19 at 9am AEDT.
