How to get crispy skinned salmon

A beautifully cooked piece of fish is treat enough, but when the skin is crispy, crunchy and oh-so-delicious, it makes the experience all the tastier.

If you want to make the skin on your fish crunch when you bite in to it, sprinkle the skin side of the fish with some salt.

Put the fish skin side down in to a hot, oiled pan, and give it about a minute to make sure the skin is lovely and crispy.

And then it’s time to get fun with the rest of the dish! Here are some ways you can serve a deliciously crispy-skinned salmon fillet.

Salmon with lime creme fraiche: This one will become a fast family favourite; fresh, zingy and ready in 20 minutes, dinner has never been easier.

Salmon with green papaya and pink grapefruit salad: Fresh, light and packed with nutrients, this dish is a no-fuss midweek meal that you’ll fall in love with.

Crispy salmon with chermoula yoghurt: Add a kick of flavour to your delicious salmon fillet with this zesty chermoula yoghurt.

Salmon with shaved cauliflower salad: If you’ve got a couple of salmon fillets leftover from last night’s dinner, adding a light, crunchy salad will freshen it up for today’s lunch.

Crispy salmon with pickled cucumber salad: The buttery rich flavour of salmon pairs fantastically with the acidic tang of a pickle salad.
