Yoghurt mango and almond smoothie

If fresh fruit is unavailable, use frozen mango or drained canned mango in natural juice, for this healthy smoothie full of calcium, magnesium and B12.

Ingredients

Yoghurt mango and almond smoothie
  • 1 mango (600g), chopped coarsely
  • 1/4 cup (30g) ground almonds
  • 1 cup (250ml) skim milk
  • 1/2 cup (140g) low-fat plain yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey ice cubes, to serve

Method

    Blend or process mango, ground almonds, milk, yoghurt, vanilla, juice and half the honey until smooth.

    Place ice into tall glasses; pour mango mixture over ice. Drizzle with remaining honey and sprinkle with grated lime rind, if you like.
