Method

1.Grease 26cm x 36cm baking dish (base measurements), line base with baking paper. Using three packets, prepare cake mix according to directions; pour into prepared dish. Bake in moderate oven about 1 hour. Stand cake in dish for 5 minutes; turn onto wire rack to cool. Place cake, base-side up, on board.
2.Beat cream in medium bowl with electric mixer until soft peaks form. Spread cake with cream. Place berries on cake for desired flag, as shown, trimming and slicing the strawberries where necessary. For the Australian flag cake, place white chocolate stars on top to form the Southern Cross.
3.To make the chocolate stars, spread melted white chocolate on a sheet of baking paper. When chocolate is almost set, cut out stars with a knife.
