- 1 medium beetroot (beet) (150g), washed, quartered
- 1 small lime (65g), peeled, quartered
- 1 cup (250ml) coconut water
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon activated charcoal
Method
The ultimate hangover tonic juice
- 1Push beetroot and lime through a juice extractor into a jug. Pour coconut water into the juicer to help move any beetroot that may be stuck.
- 2Stir in honey and charcoal until well combined.
Notes
Activated charcoal is available from selected health food stores. Due to the detoxifying nature of activated charcoal, avoid drinking this tonic within 2 hours of taking medication or supplements.
