  • 1 cup (220g) caster sugar
  • 1 cup (250ml) water

Method

    Combine sugar with water in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar dissolves, then bring to the boil.

    Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
