1.Combine egg, water and oil or butter in a large mixing bowl. Add contents of brownie mix to the bowl and mix with hand whisk or spatula until the brownie batter is smooth and glossy.
BAKE
2.Preheat oven to 170°C (160°C fan forced). Grease 20cm square brownie pan with oil or butter, and line the base with baking paper. Pour batter into prepared tin and bake for 20–25 minutes.
DECORATE
3.Allow brownies to cool in the pan slightly, but not completely, before slicing into 16 4cm x 4cm even portions.
4.Using your hands, mould and roll each portion into a ball. Roll each ball in desiccated coconut, or dust with cacao powder, before serving.
STORE
5.Serve at room temperature, or store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
